Zaila Dunbar

Zaila qualified from Edinburgh in 1999, having always wanted to be a vet. After two years in mixed practice, she made the move to focus on small animals. She spent 15yrs running a clinic in London where she developed an interest in feline medicine, behaviour, and dentistry but she enjoys treating pets of all shapes and sizes and getting to know their owners. Since joining the practice in 2021, Zaila spent a couple of years as our Senior Vet and has now taken the leap into the Clinical Director role. She is keen to provide clients with continuity of care and to provide our patients with the highest level of preventative and supportive medicine and surgery options.

Her and her family made the move to East Yorkshire to enjoy the freedom of living on the farm with their two young sons. They have a cheeky Border Collie called Rhum who loves their rescue cat Pippa far more than she loves him. Zaila enjoys hillwalking, diving, live music, reading and hanging out with friends whenever she gets the chance.
